ANNUAL DAY
CELEBRATIONS OF KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA BOLARUM
Kendriya Vidyalaya
Bolarum celebrated the Annual day in a befitting manner on 3 Dec.2011 at
10.30 AM. The chief guest of the day was Col.S.K. S.Sharma,Deputy Commandant
1EME Centre. The chief Guest was received
by the NCC cadets of the School along with the Principal Mrs.V.Rajeswari,Vice
Principal Mrs.Meera D’souza and the school captains Master Vishal and Sarita.
The function commenced with the
traditional ceremony of the lighting of lamp.The Principal, Mrs.V.Rajeswari
welcomed the chief guest and presented the AnnualReport which was followed by
the prize distribution. Mrs.Poonam Sharma gave away the prizes to the achievers
of various fields including Academics,CCA and other extra curricular activities.
The cultural programme started with the evocation of Goddess Saraswati. The students
performed with rigorous zeal to regale the audience.The tiny tots took the
audience to the land of Jungle Book and fairies where as the Secondary and
Hr.Secondary students’ sojourn to the different states of India through the
various dances like the Bengali dance, Kannadiga dance UP dance, Thiruvathirakkali
of Kerala,Hindi skit and Patriotic songs
gave the audience a taste of
different culture across the country. The English song played by the Higher
Secondary students Boulevard of Broken Dreams and the Bhangra of Punjab were
the highlights of the programme. The
chief guest Col.SKS Sharma in his speech praised the Principal,staff and
students for undertaking the various
‘student-oriented activities’ and he also appreciated the enthralling
performance of the students.Mrs.Meera D’souza Vice Principal proposed the vote
of thanks which was followed by the National Anthem.
